Live notes and drawing, right on every slide.

Live notes and drawing let you write on the slides as they are presented: type a private note, or draw, highlight and write straight on the slide, from a phone, a tablet or a laptop. Everything stays private and comes back with the slide. They are part of Diaposi, the free EdTech platform for interactive and measurable learning, in a live session or on your own document.

Notes and drawing in Diaposi: a slide on neural networks marked up by a participant, with a highlight, an underline, a circle and a note written by hand, the drawing tools above it and the notes panel with three private notes

Everything you need to mark up a slide

The tools sit on the slide in front of you, on a phone, a tablet or a laptop, so you can work on it the way you would on paper.

  • A pen

In several colours and three thicknesses, to circle, underline and write by hand.

  • A highlighter

Run it over the words that matter, the way you would on a printout.

  • Text on the slide

Type straight on the slide, then move, edit or delete it later.

  • Notes by slide

Type a note for the slide you are on. Each one keeps its slide and its time, ready to edit or delete.

  • Undo, erase, clear

Undo the last stroke, rub out a part, or clear all your drawings and start again.

  • Sharp at any zoom

Your ink stays sharp when you zoom in, and comes back with the slide whenever you return to it.

In a live session, or on your own document

The same notes and drawing work wherever you follow a deck: on the slides a presenter is showing right now, or on a file you study on your own.

In a live session

Join with the QR code, with no app and no account, and take notes and draw on the slide being presented. What the host draws appears on your slide too; hide it when you want the slide clean.

On your own document

Upload the PowerPoint, PDF or Word file and follow it page by page on your own screen, with notes and drawing on every page, and a blank page after any page for your own working.

Private to you, and kept with the slide

What you write and draw is yours. It stays private, and it is there again whenever you come back to the slide.

  • Private to youYour notes are private to you, as the panel says: the host and the room never see them.
  • Encrypted in your learning journeysNotes kept in a learning journey are encrypted on your device before they are saved, so nobody else can read them, not even Diaposi.
  • Back with the slideNotes and ink come back with the slide whenever you return to it, during the session or long after.
  • In your reportWith a free account, your notes sit beside each slide in your report, and the slides you marked Review come back first as review cards.

Printed, saved, and counted as a signal

What you write does not stay on the screen. It prints with your report, waits in your learning journeys, and shows you, and your host, where the work happened.

A page of a participant's Diaposi report as a PDF: the slide, attention and activity on every slide with this one lit, what you did on it, and My notes with the note typed during the session and its time

Printed with your report

Download your session report as a PDF and every note you typed is printed beside its slide, with its time, and the slides you drew on are marked.

My learning journeys in the Diaposi dashboard: three folders, Biology, Organic chemistry and Statistics, then three courses, each with its cover, how far it has been read, its folder, and the buttons to resume it, sit a mock exam on it or open its analytics

Saved in your learning journeys

With a free account, the deck is filed in your learning journeys with your notes, your drawings and your marks, ready to reopen from your dashboard.

A learner's report in Diaposi: the learning pulse, pages learned, questions answered and focused time, then every page marked Got it, Review, or with a note or drawing

Counted as a signal

Each note and drawing is also a signal. Your own report shows, page by page, where you worked, and the host sees how many notes and drawings each slide got, never what they say.
