Flashcards from your slides, starting where you got lost.

Flashcards in Diaposi are review cards built from your own slides: the pages you marked Review and the questions you missed come first, every answer is explained, and each card returns on a spaced schedule. They are part of Diaposi, the free EdTech platform for interactive and measurable learning.

  • Hard pages first
  • Every answer explained
  • Spaced repetition
A Diaposi review card from the Foundations of AI deck: marked for review on page 9, the question with the right answer chosen, why it is right, and the four grades Again, Hard, Good and Easy, with Good picked

How a review card works

  1. 1

    Answer

Each card asks a question on a page of your document, with options to choose from, by click or with the number keys.

  2. 2

    See why

The reveal always explains why the right answer is right, next to the one you chose.

  3. 3

    Grade your recall

Say how well you really knew it: Again, Hard, Good or Easy. A lucky guess and a sure answer are not scheduled the same way.

  4. 4

    Back when it should be

Each card rests until it falls due, so it returns just as it starts to fade. Cards graded Again come back at the end of the sitting.

Your deck starts while you follow

Follow your document page by page with Diaposi Augmented Learning, in a lecture or on your own. Mark each page Got it or Review, and when you finish a chapter, Diaposi offers a short quiz on it. The pages you flagged and the questions you miss become your review cards.

Got it or Review, and your deck follows

Under every slide sit two buttons. Got it says you follow; Review says you want it again, and that page joins your deck. You can press them in two places.

Where your cards come from

Your deck is built from what you did on the document. Open it from your report with Review with cards, and every card says why it is there.

  • You marked this page for reviewA page you marked Review under the slide, in a live session or on your own.
  • You answered this one wronglyA question you missed in a quiz or a check on the document.
  • Due for recall todayA card whose rest is over: today is the right day to see it again.
  • You have not rated this page yetA page you have not marked Got it or Review, so it gets checked too.
  • You marked this page as understoodA page you said you got, asked again so that it stays.

Made to make it stick

Review cards are short, honest and always explained, so a few minutes a day go a long way.

  • The hard pages first

The pages you marked Review and the questions you missed lead the deck.

  • Short sittings

A long queue is held back so each sitting stays short. The rest waits for next time.

  • Never a bare answer

Every answer comes with its explanation, so a card teaches as it tests.

  • Back to the page

Reread page takes you straight to the page a card came from.

  • In the language of your slides

Cards are written from your document, in the language it is written in.

  • Free with an account

Review cards come with a free Diaposi account, with your report, quizzes and explanations.
